SXSW has a new production partner.

The annual conference and festival, which covers film, TV, music and tech, has struck a deal with Texas Crew Productions to handle production across its 2026 lineup.

The move will see the Pantheon Media Group-backed company work on event coverage, live streaming and multi-platform coverage of both the 2026 SXSW Conferences & Festivals and the EDU conference.

This comes after artists such as Passion Pit, Lainey Wilson and Shallowater were recently added to the bill of the former.

Texas Crew Productions, which produces series including 50 Cent’s docuseries Sean Combs: The Reckoning, is based in Austin, Texas, which is where the event is held. SXSW is owned by Penske Media Corporation, the owner of Deadline.

“As an Austin-based company that has witnessed the phenomenal growth of SXSW first-hand, we’re honored to become part of this iconic event,” said David Karabinas, CEO at Texas Crew Productions. “Our role is to deliver consistent, high-quality coverage across every part of the event while building a production framework that supports how SXSW content is shared now and in the future.”

“SXSW content spans multiple industries, formats and audiences, all moving simultaneously,” said Meghan Cassin, SVP of Content at SXSW. “Texas Crew Productions understands how to navigate that scope, so this partnership strengthens how we capture and distribute SXSW programming across our platforms.”
